Spanning over 193m², this charming 3-bedroom property is named to honour the horsewoman ('cavallerizza') who once presided over the original stables on this site. With its perfect blend of rustic character and modern amenities, it offers a serene escape for a family or group of friends of up to 6 guests.

The indoor living spaces in Villa La Cavallerizza are designed for both comfort and style, seamlessly flowing into one another and creating a harmonious and inviting environment. The main seating area, with its cosy furnishings, allows relaxation and conversation alike. Similarly, the dining room provides a welcome setting for shared meals prepared in the nearby fully-equipped kitchen. Although, you may prefer to dine alfresco to fully take advantage of the Estate's stunning views and peaceful outdoor spaces. On the villa's veranda, a spacious table is ready for you to enjoy typical dishes with the whole group. For quieter times, head towards the outdoor lounge area with your favourite read while appreciating the dreamy Tuscan countryside background. The terrace spills into the garden, which is adorned with native plants, enhancing the villa's natural beauty.

The stand-out feature of Villa La Cavallerizza is its truly inviting infinity swimming pool, providing a refreshing escape on warm days. Sunbathe and cool off while taking in the stunning natural background. The expansive private garden offers plenty of space for kids to play freely, while you completely unwind on the outdoor loungers and lose yourself in the scenery.

Villa La Cavallerizza can accommodate up to 6 guests across three spacious bedrooms, each with its own luxurious en-suite with a large marble shower. The master bedroom is a haven of relaxation, with plush bedding and elegant furnishings, as well as a nook reading level on a mezzanine. The other two bedrooms are equally well-appointed, offering serene retreats after a day of exploring the Tuscan countryside. Each room gives access out to the garden.

Being part of the Borgo Pignano estate, guests at Villa La Cavallerizza can benefit from the services and facilities of the estate. Completely unwind in the hotel's spa or enjoy a gourmet dinner at the Villa Pignano's Michelin Green Star restaurant or a traditional Tuscan lunch in their alfresco restaurant. Alternatively, experience Borgo Pignano's cooking or painting classes, or simply enjoy the walks around the natural surroundings before heading to a wine tasting tour across the estate's vineyards. Prices are based on the exclusive use of the villa for up to 6 guests. The villa is offered with a daily complimentary breakfast buffet served in the Borgo Pignano Hotel, daily housekeeping service and full use of the Borgo Pignano Estate facilities, services, and spa area.

Location

The Borgo Pignano Estate is found in a prime location, in the heart of Tuscany, amidst stunning rolling hills and majestic countryside. This historical country estate offers 750 acres of seclusion and serenity within its private grounds. Perched on the site of the former stables, Villa La Cavallerizza enjoys a unique and privileged position within the estate. The property is just a short stroll (200m) from the centre of Borgo Pignano and its array of services, offering views over the stables and horse arena, gradually giving way to the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside.

For days exploring outside the estate, the popular medieval hillside town of Volterra is 20 minutes away or alternatively San Gimignano can be reached in half an hour. Here, you can discover the local history as well as finding a good choice of restaurants and shops. Also within an easy reach are the Vineyards of Chianti, renowned cities of Siena (40 minutes) and Pisa (1 hour) and Tuscany's coastline (1 hour). The Tuscan capital of Florence, famous for its cultural offering, shopping and impressive architecture, is 1 hour 15 away, by car.

Getting to Borgo Pignano is convenient from Pisa airport (75 km) or Florence (70 km) with other regional airports also a possibility too.

The Borgo Pignano Estate has two main restaurants for its guests. The highlight is Villa Pignano, run by Michelin starred Chef Cavallini, and awarded one of few Michelin Green stars. The menu combines an innovative and contemporary interpretation of the traditional Tuscan cuisine. From meat to seafood, everything is locally sourced from Italy, served in a classy dining area. During summer, the estate also features an alfresco restaurant, perfect for an informal and relaxed experience, offering a varied menu suitable for adults and children alike. Alternatively, during spring and fall, Borgo Pignano also offers the Kitchen Community Table, located in the main building's original kitchen and perfect for special occasions.

The Wellness Centre & Pools

Outside, Borgo Pignano features a heated infinity pool, with views over the Tuscan countryside, loungers, parasols and an outdoor bar and pool garden. There is a separate pool for children under 12 yrs. Borgo Pignano's Wellness Center, found in the former winery, offers a unique spa experience. Carved from limestone, it features a sauna, steam bath, and massage rooms where treatments use oils made from local flowers, plants, and herbs to promote well-being. Guests can unwind with restorative herbal teas and, in the summer, enjoy alfresco treatments in a secluded spot. There's also a fully-equipped gym. The land cultivated around Borgo Pignano supplies a significant portion of the ingredients used in their kitchens and cosmetic products. They grow olives, cereals, and grains from ancient seed stocks, which are used to create organic flours, pastas, herbs, jams, and honeys, ensuring rich nutrients and traditional flavours. The estate also produces fruits, nuts, seeds, and cold-pressed Tuscan olive oil, along with feed for their animals, while soaps and toiletries are crafted from the flowers and herbs they grow. Guests are invited to explore the 2.5 acre vegetable garden to see first-hand how they cultivate these heritage varieties, promoting a self-supporting cycle and offering the freshest ingredients.

Borgo Pignano's Vineyards

From June to mid-September, kids from 4 to 12 years old will be able to join Borgo Pignano's Kids Club, free of charge. Toddlers can enjoy a shaded play area, and the estate's team also provide dedicated children's meals.
